Bali Crayfish is a renowned catering brand in Wuhan. As stipulated by the judgment, the brand name “Bali Crayfish” of Bali Crayfish Company enjoys significant popularity in Wuhan, Hubei Province. The combination of words and designs used by Bali Crayfish Company serves as a distinctive decoration for its well-known catering services.

As of March 15, 2019, Tongxin Jiachuang (Wuhan) Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. had opened six “Tongxin Jiachuang Bali Crayfish” catering outlets in Wuhan. The company actively promoted the opening of these outlets on its WeChat official account. The distorted “Tongxin Jiachuang Bali Crayfish” trademark was prominently displayed on signs, menus, uniforms, and other visible locations, effectively highlighting or solely using the “Bali Crayfish” trademark.

WEIPR represented Bali Crayfish in this case and filed a lawsuit in court. Ultimately, the court ruled that Tongxin Jiachuang Enterprise Management Co., Ltd.’s actions constituted unfair competition and trademark infringement, and ordered compensation for economic losses to Bali Crayfish Company.
