In 2016, on behalf of FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies Co., Ltd., WEIPR filed a patent application for “Method for Efficiently Preparing Doped Optical Fiber Preform and the Doped Optical Fiber Preform”. The international patent application was submitted through PCT and subsequently entered the national (regional) phases in ten countries/regions, including Malaysia, the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan, Russia, South Korea, India, and Singapore.

Among them,

In 2019, patent authorizations were granted in Singapore and Australia;

In 2020, a patent authorization was granted in the United States, and after responding to one review opinion in each country, patent authorizations were also granted in Canada, Russia, and South Korea in the same year;

After responding to two review opinions, a European patent authorization was granted in 2020 and became effective in the EPC contracting states of Germany, France, Finland, Spain, and Italy;

After responding to the review opinion and undergoing a rejection review, a patent authorization was granted in Japan in 2020;

By January 2022, we have submitted a response to the patent review opinion in India, and the patent application in Malaysia is also under substantive examination.
