As the long-term agency for the client, we have monitored a crucial trademark clue through the implementation of professional trademark monitoring service, which is that the alphabetic trademark submitted for application by a Shenzhen enterprise in Egypt bore a high degree of similarity to the alphabetic trademark of our client. Furthermore, this trademark application had smoothly progressed to the publication stage.

Given that this discovery directly impacted the legitimate rights and interests of our client, based on formal mandate, we promptly responded and filed a detailed opposition application against the applied-for trademark within the statutory opposition period, along with relevant evidentiary materials.

Upon review, the Egyptian authorities acknowledged our arguments that the disputed alphabetic trademark was originally used by our client and had a history of use predating the registration time of the applicant in opposition in Egypt. Additionally, the authorities further confirmed that the trademark held by our client enjoyed significant reputation in the industry and belonged to famous trademark.

Based on the aforementioned facts and relevant Egyptian regulations, the Egyptian authorities ultimately rendered a ruling in favor of our client, deciding to revoke the trademark application in opposition, effectively preventing the approval and registration of the trademark in Egypt.
