A seminar on trademark brand protection and service provider regulation was held in Wuhan from March 19 to 20, hosted by the Hubei Intellectual Property Administration. Yu Hao, Chairman of WEIPR Group, attended the event.
During the seminar, Yu Hao released the Overseas Trademark Monitoring and Analysis Report of Hubei Province (2025). The report provides a systematic overview of overseas trademark applications, registrations, and distribution patterns from Hubei in 2025. It includes an in-depth analysis of industry and geographic trends, along with case studies highlighting successful efforts by Hubei enterprises in cross-border rights protection. Addressing the challenges companies face when expanding globally, Yu proposed targeted recommendations from three perspectives: government guidance, corporate initiative, and professional service support.

Data presented at the seminar showed that by the end of 2025, Hubei Province had 1.2682 million valid registered trademarks, a year-on-year increase of 7.58%. A total of 184 agricultural geographical indications had been successfully commercialized, bringing the province’s total to 703—one of the highest in China.
As a leading intellectual property and technology competition legal service provider in Hubei, WEIPR Group will continue to leverage its expertise, focusing on trademark brand protection and overseas portfolio development, to help more Hubei brands succeed in the global market.
