The Hubei Provincial Intellectual Property Office has recently announced the results of its 2023–2024 intellectual property project acceptance. Among these, the "New Energy Vehicle Supply Chain Industry Navigation Project," undertaken by WEIPR Group, was successfully approved. As a key component of Hubei Province’s Automotive Industry Transformation and Development Implementation Plan (2023–2025), this project delivers precise intellectual property solutions designed to strengthen the industrial chain and boost indigenous innovation capabilities, earning authoritative recognition at the provincial level for its professional service.
The new energy vehicle (NEV) supply chain is a central pillar of the industry's development, where technological innovation and high-quality patent portfolios are crucial to a region's core competitiveness. In this context, WEIPR's Navigation Project zeroes in on critical segments of the NEV supply chain, leveraging in-depth patent data analysis to provide strategic support for high-quality industrial advancement.
Patent Navigation Analysis
As a vital bridge connecting technological and industrial innovation, patent navigation offers a panoramic view of the competitive landscape and technology trends by integrating patent data with industry information. For this project, WEIPR formed a dedicated team that utilized comprehensive patent data resources to analyze patent activity across the supply chain, trace the evolution of core technologies, and identify key technology gaps and potential risks. The resulting multi-dimensional Industrial Patent Navigation Analysis Report serves as a critical reference for government bodies in industrial planning, for enterprises in guiding R&D, and for fostering collaborative innovation throughout the chain.
Building on the successful acceptance of this project, WEIPR will continue to deepen its expertise in patent navigation research and enhance the application of its results. By further integrating intellectual property service resources, WEIPR is committed to providing targeted, end-to-end IP services—including patent navigation, portfolio development, and risk prevention—for key local sectors such as new energy vehicles and high-end manufacturing. Through these efforts, WEIPR will contribute to the region's strategic transition from industrial scale to industrial strength.
