WEIPR Chairman Joins CTA Delegation for High-Level Dialogue with WIPO Deputy Director General Wang Binying

During the 68th Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of WIPO, Mr. Yu Hao, Chairman of Wuhan WEIPR Intellectual Property Group, participated as a delegation member alongside Mr. Ma Fu, President of the China Trademark Association (CTA), in a meeting with Ms. Wang Binying, Deputy Director General of WIPO.

Key Highlights from the Dialogue

During the meeting, Deputy Director General Wang spoke highly of the CTA's role as a bridge in promoting the Madrid System and supporting Chinese enterprises in their international expansion. She noted that while Chinese enterprises' overseas trademark applications continue to grow, the share filed through the Madrid route still has room for improvement, and expressed hope that the CTA would continue to drive steady growth in Madrid registrations.

President Ma Fu expressed gratitude for WIPO and Deputy Director General Wang's longstanding guidance and support. He outlined the CTA's recent priorities, which focus on three core areas: promoting and educating on the Madrid System, providing overseas trademark services for enterprises, and fostering brand incubation and empowerment. President Ma also extended a sincere invitation to Deputy Director General Wang to attend the 2026 China Trademark Annual Meeting, scheduled for November in Xiamen, to further deepen China-international IP exchange and cooperation.
