WEIPR IP Group Joins China Trademark Association Delegation at WIPO's 68th Series of Meetings of the Assemblies in Geneva

Yu Hao, Chairman of Wuhan WEIPR Intellectual Property Group ("WEIPR IP"), joined the delegation of the China Trademark Association (CTA) at the Sixty-Eighth Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of WIPO, held at WIPO headquarters in Geneva from July 7 to 15, 2026.

As a specialized agency of the United Nations, WIPO brings together 193 member states and administers 26 international treaties—including the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and the Madrid System for the international registration of marks—making its Assemblies the preeminent global forum for shaping the international intellectual property (IP) policy agenda.

The CTA delegation, led by CTA President Ma Fu, participated in the Assembly's opening session and the WIPO–NGO dialogue in its capacity as a WIPO permanent observer. Since the WIPO Assemblies granted CTA permanent observer status in 2022, the association has remained active at the forefront of international IP exchange. During the meetings, the delegation engaged with member-state representatives, international IP non-governmental organizations, and industry experts—sharing China's achievements in trademark and brand development and contributing to a stronger Chinese voice in global IP governance.

As the only enterprise representative from Hubei province in the delegation, Chairman Yu Hao's participation reflects both the recognition of WEIPR IP's professional strength and the firm's resolve to engage in global IP governance with an international outlook—supporting Chinese brands as they expand into world markets.

Looking ahead, WEIPR IP will continue to deepen its IP services and build broader bridges between domestic and international innovators.
