On July 25th, the Mobilization and Deployment Meeting for the Establishment of the National IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) Protection Demonstration Zone was held in Wuhan. Several important national and regional governmental leaders presented and delivered insightful speech on the meeting.
Responsible comrades from relevant departments, as well as representatives from some enterprises, universities, research institutes, and IPR service agencies attended the meeting. WEIPR, as an IPR service agency, was invited to participate.
The establishment of the National IPR Protection Demonstration Zone is the first national demonstration project in the field of IPR, which has been approved and issued by the State Council. It aims to explore and establish an efficient comprehensive IPR management system through the construction of demonstration zones, connect the entire chain of IPR creation, utilization, protection, management, and services, and promote the initial formation of institutional mechanisms with clear rights boundaries, reasonable division of labor, consistent responsibilities and rights, and efficient operation in key regions. This, in turn, will drive and lead the overall improvement of China’s IPR protection. Wuhan is the only city in Hubei Province selected for the construction of the National IPR Protection Demonstration Zone.
In the future, WEIPR will continue to implement national IPR policies, strengthen its capabilities, continuously expand the scope of IPR services, safeguard the technological innovation of more enterprises, provide guarantees for key and disruptive technological breakthroughs, contribute to the overall improvement of IPR protection in Hubei Province, and offer wisdom and strength to the construction of a powerful IPR country.
