The Danish Patent and Trademark Office has announced a 3.0 percent increase in publication and renewal fees for patents, including validated European patents, effective from 1 January 2025. This follows a previous price adjustment implemented on 1 January 2024. A comparative table of fees before and after 1 January 2025 (denominated in DKK) has been provided for reference.

For renewal fees, the adjusted rates will apply to payments due after 31 March 2025. Payments due on or before 31 March 2025 will retain the pre-2025 rates. Late payments will incur a 20 percent surcharge calculated based on the applicable fee at the time of payment.
Regarding publication fees:
For DK/EP (validated European patents in Denmark), the adjusted fee will apply if the validation request is submitted after 31 December 2024.
For Danish national patents, the fee depends on the payment request date issued by the Danish Patent and Trademark Office. Requests made after 31 December 2024 will be subject to the new rates.
