China National Intellectual Property Administration and UAE Ministry of Economy Signed Memorandum of Understanding on Co-operation in the Field of Intellectual Property

The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Intellectual Property between the National Intellectual Property Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNIPA) and the Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (MOE) was signed at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing in the afternoon of 30th May under the joint witness of President Xi Jinping of China and President Mohammed of United Arab Emirates. Shen Changyu, Director General of CNIPA, and HE Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the UAE, signed on behalf of the intellectual property authorities of the two countries.

China and the UAE agreed to cooperate in the fields of invention patents, designs, trademarks, geographical indications and integrated circuit layout designs.
